Longclaw Sword of Jon Snow – Game of Thrones

Own one of the most legendary weapons in Westeros with the Longclaw Sword of Jon Snow, a magnificent decorative replica inspired by George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novels and the world of Game of Thrones.

Featuring an imposing stainless steel blade, intricately detailed wolf’s head pommel and genuine leather-wrapped grip, this impressive sword captures the distinctive appearance of the weapon carried by Jon Snow.

Measuring 126.5cm in overall length, Longclaw makes a striking addition to any collection of fantasy swords or Game of Thrones memorabilia.

The Legendary History of Longclaw

For five centuries, Longclaw belonged to House Mormont of Bear Island, one of the noble families of the North.

Forged from rare Valyrian steel, the ancestral sword passed through generations of House Mormont before eventually coming into the possession of Jeor Mormont, Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch.

Following the exile of his son, Ser Jorah Mormont, the sword returned to Jeor, who kept it safely hidden at Castle Black.

Its remarkable history would take another unexpected turn following a terrifying attack upon the Lord Commander.

From House Mormont to Jon Snow

One night, a reanimated corpse known as a wight attempted to murder Jeor Mormont in his chambers.

Jon Snow, accompanied by his direwolf Ghost, intervened and saved the Lord Commander’s life by setting the creature ablaze.

Although the resulting fire damaged Jeor’s chambers and destroyed Longclaw’s original hilt, the ancient Valyrian steel blade survived unharmed.

In gratitude for saving his life, Jeor presented the sword to Jon Snow.

Before doing so, he commissioned a new pommel featuring the head of a wolf, replacing the original bear associated with House Mormont.

Jeor also offered Jon the opportunity to rename the sword. However, Jon declined, observing that wolves possess claws just as bears do.

And so, the legendary sword retained its original name: Longclaw.

Exceptional Detailing and Craftsmanship

This decorative Longclaw Sword reproduction captures the distinctive design associated with Jon Snow’s legendary weapon.

The impressive 99.5cm stainless steel blade features an etched decorative pattern and three fullers running along its length.

These details enhance the sword’s appearance while reflecting the traditional styling of the weapon.

The hilt features cast metal components with an attractive antique nickel-plated finish.

A genuine leather-wrapped grip completes the handle, adding an authentic finishing touch to the overall design.

The Iconic Wolf’s Head Pommel

One of Longclaw’s most recognisable features is its distinctive wolf’s head pommel.

Inspired by Jon Snow’s direwolf Ghost, this intricately sculpted design symbolises the sword’s transition from House Mormont to its new owner.

The powder-coated metal pommel features decorative acrylic eyes designed to resemble garnets.

Together with the antique nickel-plated hilt and leather-wrapped grip, these details create a striking reproduction of one of Westeros’s most celebrated swords.

An Impressive Wall Display

Longclaw comes complete with a decorative fibreboard wall display plaque featuring a silkscreened design.

Measuring approximately 36.5cm high and 28cm wide, the plaque provides an attractive way to showcase the sword.

Mounting hardware is also included, allowing collectors to create an impressive display in a study, home cinema or dedicated collection room.

With its substantial dimensions and distinctive appearance, Longclaw makes a magnificent centrepiece for any collection of fantasy memorabilia.
