At Surname Ancestory, we know how exciting it is to receive a personalised gift. That’s why we prepare every order with care and dispatch it as quickly as possible. We package each item securely to help ensure it arrives safely and in excellent condition.
Many of our products are handcrafted or personalised to order. As a result, production times vary. You’ll find an estimated dispatch time on every product page, so you know when your order should leave us.
Production & Dispatch Times
Our skilled team creates each personalised item before handing it to one of our trusted delivery partners.
We produce and dispatch engraved gifts and crystal products within 5–7 working days. Royal Mail or one of our specialist couriers then delivers your order.
Our hand-painted shields require more time because every piece is individually finished by hand. Please allow 4–6 weeks for production before we dispatch your shield with Royal Mail.

Delivery charges apply to each order and depend on the products you purchase.

We send every crystal item by insured courier to give it extra protection during transit.
Returns & Refunds
We want you to feel completely confident when shopping with Surname Ancestory. If you’re not happy with a non-personalised item, you may return it within 14 working days of receiving your order.
Return the item within 7 working days, and we’ll happily offer either:
- A full refund, including the original delivery charge, or
- An exchange for another product.
Because we create personalised items especially for you, we cannot accept their return unless they arrive faulty or we have made an error.
If we send the wrong item or your order arrives damaged or defective, we’ll refund the full purchase price. We’ll also reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
Sending a Gift?
Sending your order directly to someone special? Simply mention this in the comments section during checkout.
We’ll leave out invoices, prices and promotional material. Your recipient will receive a beautifully presented gift without any pricing information.
